Food producer? Connect with others at the Small Business Seminar

If you’re anything like me, you’ve already had your 2011 diary for a month or two, the wallplanner is already in place and dates are starting to fill up with conferences, exhibitions, festivals, gigs and more, to the point that you wonder will you actually get *any* work done in 2011. Well, if you’re a food or drink producer and you do have some free days floating around in the new year, you might look at putting January 25th aside in your diary for Bord Bia’s Small Business Seminar 2011.

It’s a half day affair, starting at 9:30am on the Tuesday, taking place in a venue to be confirmed on the outskirts of Dublin and will be hosted by Bord Bia’s Small Business team.

You should attend if you want:

  • to be inspired and to inspire your customers
  • to network more with like-minded food businesses
  • to understand the prospects for the food industry in 2011
  • to take advantage of the range of services, information and support available to your business

If you’re a new food producer looking for a direction for your business, looking to expand an existing one or simply get together with other producers and small business owners, you might look at registering to attend in January. I don’t like “networking” as a term, even as a small business owner myself I find I awfully corporate but I understand, appreciate and very much value the opportunity to meet people in the same field as myself, to share ideas, problems, tips and experiences, all of which can help your own business in a variety of ways.

For more information on the event, and links to useful resources for getting started in business, you can visit Bord Bia Vantage (which is also getting a re-launch at the end of January).
