The second of three Biabeag Meet The Producer events at this year’s Savour Kilkenny food festival brings together Ed Hick (the butcher) of J Hicks & Sons, Patrick Ryan (the baker) of Firehouse Bakery, also pictured above at the launch of Real Bread Ireland back in January, and Quincey Fennelly (the brewer) of Wicklow Wolf.
The idea behind the event gets all three in the one room at Butler House, Kilkenny, between 6-8pm on the Saturday recounting their individual food business stories while also look at how all can combine to make a new product.
I swear to God, if it turns out to be beer-battered bacon doughnuts, and there’s a prototype, you won’t see me for dust…
